The bible says prays without season. Life itself tells you to work hard till you break through. This earth is constantly rotating without your consent; it waits for no one to wake up, obtain a certificate of any sorts or even bury a loved one; life is constantly in motion.
Being able to say prayers that pierce heavens has always been a thing of debate for thousands of generations. It is like a hidden secret, a treasure made known to only those it has been revealed.
“At that time Jesus declared, “I thank you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children.” Matt 11:25
Rev. Fr. Bertrand Ujunwa in his homily shared with us insights on how to say prayers that pierces heaven.
“Humility is a powerful force in prayer. When a person is said to be humble, that means the person is lowly in heart”, said Fr. Ujunwa
“Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of God.” Matt 5:3
“To be poor in spirit means you understand you are nothing before God. When you are humble in your prayers, you present yourself as an ‘empty cup’ before God expecting to get filled up with His answers”, said Fr. Ujunwa.
The harvest thanksgiving continued with more families filing out to the altar.
The ‘2016 Harvest of Great Mercy Praise Night’ comes up on the 11th of November. Please make it a date. The harvest would come up the Sunday after the praise night.
Remain blessed as we expect our prayers to always pierce the heavens in this harvest season.
Amen.
